Full job description

Participate in Facilitative Church Planting while planning and overseeing the summer internship program, Encounter.

Responsibilities:

Drive the recruitment process for both Irish and American interns
Interface with Serge Home Office and local ministry partners to effectively plan internship logistics and manage finances
Oversee the mentoring, training, care, and debriefing of interns throughout their internship journey
Fulfill administrative duties related to job and team tasks as needed
Collaborate with other teammates on the Ireland Apprentice Team and broader Serge Ireland teams to achieve collective goals
Dedicate significant service to local facilitative church work, working independently to foster positive church relationships

Requirements and Critical Qualities:

Previous experience in a leadership role
Ministry experience; fielded missionary experience a plus
A passion for and experience with discipleship and mentoring, particularly in guiding Irish and American college students
Familiarity with the grace-based concepts articulated by reformed theology and practiced by Serge
Prior teaching experience is preferred, or a willingness to learn
Adaptability and flexibility to handle diverse tasks and responsibilities
Proven ability to take initiative and be a self-starter when managing tasks and projects
Strong networking skills are beneficial, or a willingness to learn
Competence in handling administrative tasks
Must be committed to the local church and willing to submit to Irish ministry leadership, even of different denominations and sexes
A learner’s posture: teachable, and curious
A hospitable and servant-minded attitude that fosters positive relationships within the team and with external partners

Support Raising:

The person in this role raises their full financial support for salary, ministry expenses, and benefits.
When you are appointed to go with Serge, you are assigned a support coach who will guide you step-by-step through the entire support-raising process.
