Are you passionate about financial storytelling at a global scale? Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a Financial Manager to serve as the strategic bridge between our Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) Data Centre Finance team and the central Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) team in Seattle. In this role, you'll own coordination and narration of EMEA data center investments and operations, working across Construction, Energy, and Operations teams during one of the most exciting growth periods in cloud computing history.
As AWS scales rapidly to meet unprecedented AI demands, you'll be at the forefront of innovation—leveraging AI tools to transform how we operate and scale our finance function. This dynamic role offers the unique opportunity to shape strategic decision-making across one of the fastest-growing regions in cloud infrastructure, while developing expertise in financial modeling, cross-functional collaboration, and advanced analytics in a technology leader.
At Amazon, we believe that in-person collaboration is essential to our culture and innovation. While we allow flexibility for personal circumstances, we generally expect employees to work from our offices five days a week. This approach has consistently shown that spontaneous interactions, rapid problem-solving, and the energy of in-person teamwork lead to better results for our customers. In particular, our data shows that teams working together in person are more effective at making complex decisions, onboarding new team members, and fostering the kind of creative collaboration that has driven Amazon's success. The serendipitous hallway conversations and impromptu whiteboarding sessions that happen naturally in an office environment have proven invaluable to our invention process and maintaining our high bar for excellence.
Key job responsibilities

- Build and maintain financial reports, forecasts, and headcount planning models using financial systems and advanced Excel functions to analyze large datasets
- Establish and monitor Key Performance Indicator (KPI) metrics for business initiatives and operational performance, measuring progress on key goals with accuracy and timeliness
- Identify and implement process improvements to automate, standardize, and simplify finance workflows, while resolving data discrepancies and partnering on solutions to enhance data quality
A day in the life
Every day will be different. You'll coordinate with the EMEA finance team to gather monthly financial results, then dive into variance analysis to uncover the story behind the numbers. During planning cycles, you'll facilitate cross-functional discussions, consolidating inputs and reviewing strategic forecasts with local management. You'll connect with the Seattle FP&A team to communicate EMEA's financial performance and strategic initiatives. You'll leverage AI-powered tools to automate reporting processes and conduct ad-hoc analyses that inform critical investment decisions. Throughout, you'll balance financial close activities, accruals, and KPI reporting while continuously seeking innovative ways to scale your impact alongside the business.
