Wtech Fire & Security Technology Ltd is the Irish Detection & Security platform within Wtech Fire Group. The business operates across five trading companies — Wilec Life Safety & Security Systems, Ideal Fire, SRS Alert Fire, Safety Tech Fire, and Absolute Fire & Security — delivering advanced detection, alarm, AOV, emergency lighting, access control, leak detection and life safety systems to industrial, pharma, data centre, ATEX, commercial, hotel, domestic and healthcare clients.
The Role
This position is based in the trading company Safety Tech Fire. It is an entry level role, training will be provided where the successful candidate will learn how to service, inspect, repair and maintain all aspects of Aovs and Fire Alarm Systems. The role will be different every day, new customers, new sites and new challenges.
Reporting to: Engineering Director
Hours: 40hrs per week
Days: Monday – Friday
Essential Criteria:
- Full, clean driving licence.
- Enthusiasm for the role and a strong interest in the industry.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to prioritise work and manage challenging workload.
- Flexible, adaptable and can-do attitude to work.
Desirable Criteria:
- Previous experience in a trade, labouring, stores or logistics role.
- Prior fire, electrical or security systems exposure.
- Recognised site card (e.g. Safe Pass).
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Service, inspect, repair and maintain all aspects of Aovs and Fire Alarm Systems.
- Perform regular maintenance on all types of Fire Alarm Systems covered under contract.
- Utilise problem-solving skills to trace issues and conduct effective fault finding.
- Complete all necessary documentation related to maintenance works accurately and promptly.
- Liaise with customers to understand and fulfil their requirements.
- Respond to customer inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
- Work collaboratively as part of our service team.
