Responsible for remotely selling the full range of Surgical products across our portfolio, including Energy, Stapling, Sutures, Access, Instruments, Electrosurgery, and Hernia devices across the Ireland and Northern Ireland region.
You will work collaboratively with other Surgical Remote Sales colleagues and local field-based sales teams to exceed sales targets and will report directly to the UK&I National Remote Sales Manager.
Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:
- Achieve territory sales targets while building and maintaining a strong sales pipeline
- Develop deep relationships with healthcare professionals (HCPs) to promote and sell Medtronic Surgical products remotely
- Remotely sell Medtronic products within an assigned geographic area and/or customer accounts to achieve and exceed agreed sales goals
- Identify, develop, and close new business opportunities, while appropriately managing and referring internal leads
- Effectively engage customers through multiple remote sales channels, including telephone, virtual meetings, live chat, and email
- Actively contribute as part of the wider sales team, working towards agreed objectives with the Remote and Regional Sales Managers
- Promote and deliver education on company products and services
- Support field sales representatives with sales planning and execution, including sales calls, data analysis, identifying customer opportunities, and follow-up activities
- Attend occasional internal and customer meetings (up to 20% travel)
Required Knowledge and Experience:
- Previous sales experience within the Medical Device or high-tech industry
- Strong telephone and virtual presentation skills, with excellent communication abilities
- Comfortable using CRM systems and digital sales tools, with the ability to quickly learn and adapt to new technologies
- Strong negotiation skills with the ability to influence customers and successfully close sales opportunities
