Barista
Dublin Airport - Full time
Please note: Due to airport security requirements, applicants must hold a valid passport with at least 6 months' validity remaining, have a minimum B2 level of English, and be able to successfully complete Garda Vetting and Aviation Security Clearance. Employment is conditional upon meeting all of these requirements.
We are looking for a passionate, energetic, and customer-focused Barista to join our busy café. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment, enjoy creating exceptional coffee, and take pride in delivering outstanding customer service, we'd love to hear from you. As a Barista, you will play a key role in creating a welcoming atmosphere while preparing high-quality beverages and ensuring every customer has a positive experience.
What you'll do:

Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages, including espresso-based drinks, teas, and specialty coffees.

Deliver excellent customer service by greeting customers warmly and assisting with orders.

Operate coffee machines, grinders, and other café equipment safely and efficiently.

Maintain exceptional standards of cleanliness and hygiene throughout the café.

Restock ingredients, cups, milk, pastries, and other supplies as required.

Process customer orders accurately using the point-of-sale (POS) system.

Handle cash and card transactions responsibly.

Ensure food safety and health & safety procedures are followed at all times.

Assist with opening and closing duties, including equipment cleaning and cash reconciliation.

Work closely with team members to maintain efficient service during busy periods.

Monitor product quality and report equipment issues promptly.

Upsell menu items and promote seasonal beverages and special offers.
What you'll bring:

Previous experience as a Barista or in a café, coffee shop, or hospitality environment is preferred.

Experience using commercial espresso machines and coffee grinders.

Excellent customer service and communication skills.

Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a high-volume environment.

Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.

Positive attitude with a proactive and team-oriented approach.

Good organisational and time-management skills.

Flexibility to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and public holidays as required.
