Cuppacabana Café | Donabate
We're looking for an experienced hospitality professional to take ownership of our weekend service.
This isn't just a barista role, and it isn't just table service. We're looking for someone who enjoys leading from the front, keeping a busy café running smoothly and creating an outstanding experience for every customer.
You'll be the person overseeing our weekend operations, working alongside a small team to ensure excellent service, happy customers and a café that runs efficiently from opening until close.
We're a busy independent café that prides itself on great food, excellent coffee, warm service and a welcoming atmosphere. We're looking for someone who shares those values and wants to become an important part of our team.
What you'll be doing
As Weekend Café Supervisor, you'll be responsible for the smooth day-to-day running of the café during weekend service.
Your role will include:
- Opening and closing the café
- Leading and supporting the weekend team
- Coordinating service and ensuring the café runs efficiently throughout the day
- Allocating tasks and coordinating staff breaks
- Delivering exceptional customer service and creating a welcoming atmosphere
- Handling customer queries and resolving any issues confidently and professionally
- Cash handling and cashing up
- Preparing specialty coffees and drinks
- Taking food and drink orders
- Running food and drinks when required
- Restocking throughout the day
- Keeping the café clean, organised and well presented
- Supporting the kitchen team with simple tasks such as loading the dishwasher or assisting where needed
- Jumping in wherever required to keep service flowing smoothly

- Has previous experience in a café, restaurant or busy hospitality environment

- The café stays stocked, clean and organised.
- Problems are solved before they become bigger issues.
- Everyone pitches in wherever they're needed.
- The café is left set up and ready for the next day.
Hours
Core hours:
- Friday: 11:30am – 3:30pm
- Saturday: 8:30am – 3:45pm
- Sunday: 9:00am – 3:45pm
Additional hours available:
- Monday: 11:00am – 3:00pm
- Tuesday: 11:00am – 3:00pm
There may also be occasional evening shifts, with opportunities to help us grow our evening offering if this interests you.

- Donabate, County Dublin: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
