Full job description

We are currently looking for a friendly, enthusiastic and motivated Full-Time Dental Nurse/Receptionist to join our busy and welcoming dental practice. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about patient care and enjoys working as part of a professional team.

We would ideally like to recruit someone with a Dental Nursing qualification, however we are also happy to consider applicants who have a positive attitude, excellent communication skills and a genuine willingness to learn. Full training will be provided for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities

As a Dental Nurse, you will:

Assist the dentist during a wide range of dental procedures.
Prepare and sterilise instruments in accordance with infection control protocols.
Ensure treatment rooms are fully stocked, clean and ready for patients.
Maintain accurate patient records and assist with clinical administration.
Support the clinical team to ensure appointments run efficiently.
Provide reassurance and excellent care to patients throughout their visit.

As a Receptionist, you will:

Welcome patients in a friendly and professional manner.
Answer telephone calls and respond to patient enquiries.
Book, confirm and manage appointments.
Process payments and maintain patient accounts.
Update patient records using our dental practice management software.
Liaise with patients regarding treatment plans and appointments.
Help ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the practice.

What We Are Looking For

The successful applicant should:

Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Be friendly, caring and professional at all times.
Be organised with good attention to detail.
Be able to work efficiently in a busy environment.
Be reliable, punctual and willing to work as part of a team.
Have good computer skills.
Previous experience in a dental practice is desirable but not essential, as full training will be provided for suitable candidates.
