Overview:
This hands-on role is responsible for implementing, and maintaining the organisation’s data governance framework to ensure data is managed as a strategic asset. This role will drive data quality, data ownership, policy compliance, regulatory adherence, metadata management, and data stewardship practices across the enterprise.
The successful candidate will manage the Data Quality team and work closely with business stakeholders, technology teams, risk and compliance functions, and senior leadership to improve data integrity, consistency, security, and accessibility while supporting business objectives and regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain the enterprise data governance strategy, policies, standards, and operating model, maintaining controls to mitigate data governance risks.

Establish and promote data governance best practices across business and technology functions.

Utilise Informatica Data Management Cloud to maintain business glossaries, data dictionaries, and data lineage documentation.

Coordinate the internal Data Stewards working group, facilitating meetings, and supporting follow-on actions.

Review and refine data ownership, stewardship, and accountability structures.

Ensure governance processes align with organisational goals and regulatory obligations.

Lead root cause analysis and remediation activities for data quality issues.

Collaborate with business and technical teams to improve data accuracy, completeness, consistency, and timeliness.

Deliver governance reporting and insights to executive stakeholders.

Evaluate emerging technologies and best practices in data management and governance.
Qualifications:
Essential:
-
Bachelor's degree in Information Management, Computer Science, Business Information Systems, Data Analytics, or related field.
Desirable:

Certified Data Management Professional (CDMP)

DCAM (Data Management Capability Assessment Model)

Experience:
- 5+ years' experience in Data Governance, Data Management, Information Management, or related disciplines.

Experience implementing enterprise-scale data governance frameworks.

Strong understanding of data quality management principles and methodologies.

Experience working with Informatica data governance tools.

Experience supporting GDPR, AI Act and other regulatory compliance.
