About the Role

Stanley Build is seeking a Commercial Quantity Surveyor (M&E) to join our expanding commercial team. You will play a key role in managing the commercial and contractual aspects of Mechanical & Electrical works, supporting projects from tender stage through to final account while ensuring cost control, profitability and successful project delivery.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare accurate cost estimates, budgets and tender submissions for M&E works.
Review drawings, specifications and contract documentation to prepare detailed cost plans.
Assess subcontractor and supplier quotations and assist with procurement.
Monitor project expenditure, budgets and cash flow throughout the project lifecycle.
Prepare interim valuations, payment applications and final accounts.
Manage variations, claims and contractual changes.
Produce monthly commercial reports and cost forecasts.
Work closely with project managers, engineers, clients and subcontractors to achieve commercial objectives.
Identify opportunities for value engineering and cost savings.
Ensure compliance with contractual obligations and company procedures.

Essential Requirements

Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Economics, Engineering or a related discipline.
Minimum 2–4 years' experience in a commercial quantity surveying role with exposure to M&E, civil or relevant projects.
Experience working on commercial construction, infrastructure, utilities or industrial projects.
Strong understanding of construction contracts, procurement and cost control.
Excellent analytical, numerical and negotiation skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and quantity surveying software.
Strong communication and organisational abilities.
Ability to manage multiple projects while working effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
