Vhi Group Technology have an exciting opportunity for a full-time permanent vacancy as a Senior Salesforce Developer to join our dynamic team in Dublin. This role can be based in either Dublin or Kilkenny on a hybrid basis and is ideal for an experienced Salesforce professional with a minimum of 5 years’ hands-on development experience.
As a Senior Software Engineer, you will become a core member of the Application Delivery Team working across the full software development lifecycle playing a key role in designing, developing, and implementing customized Salesforce solutions to meet business needs.

What will you do:-
Design, code, verify, test, document and enhance Salesforce applications. Participate in reviews of own work and leads reviews of colleagues' work
- Define and manage scoping, requirements definition and prioritisation activities, collaborating with stakeholders to gather and analyze requirements.

Design scalable and secure Salesforce solutions using appropriate modelling techniques following agreed software design standards, guidelines, patterns and methodology.
- Maintain and optimize Salesforce performance and data integrity adhering to application support processes and checking that all requests for support are dealt with according to agreed procedures.

Provide advice and guidance to support the adoption of methods and tools and adherence to policies and standards, ensuring best practices in Salesforce development, security, and compliance.

Perform routine and non-routine assessments of knowledge, skill, competency or behaviour using specified methods.

Assist practitioners with creating personal development plans. Advises on suitable development activities such as specific learning or experience to be gained.

Support assigned co-workers in areas of uncertainty, such as, organisational contacts, communication channels, processes, job expectations and manager relations.

Monitor quality and performance against agreed criteria to make learning recommendations or to escalate concerns. Coach colleagues in developing target skills and capabilities in line with team and personal goals. Facilitates effective working relationships between team members.

Deal with problems and issues, managing resolutions, corrective actions, lessons learned, and the collection and dissemination of relevant information. Helps develop and enhance customer and stakeholder relationships.

Facilitate and support the execution of resourcing activities in collaboration with managers and teams. Conduct interviews and assessments.
What will you need to be successful:
Education and Experience:-
BS degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related technical field or equivalent practical experience

5+ years enterprise experience
-
5+ years software development experience covering the full development lifecycle working with business users and IT teams

Salesforce certifications (e.g., Platform Developer I/II) are highly desirable

Health Cloud experience an advantage.
Technical ability-
Advanced hands-on development experience within the Salesforce platform, including Omni-studio solutions, Flow, App Builder, Apex, Apex Triggers, Admin functionalities, security model, automation tools, dashboards, Lightning Web Components (LWC), and SOQL.

Experience with Salesforce APIs (REST/SOAP) and integrations with a strong understanding of platform limits, governor constraints, and optimisation techniques.

Deep knowledge of Salesforce architecture and design patterns, including integration patterns (event-driven, middleware, API-led), data modelling, security model (profiles, permission sets, sharing rules), and scalable enterprise solution design.

Strong experience implementing integrations between Salesforce and external platforms, including AWS Connect and Contact Centre as a Service (CaaS) solutions, including Service Cloud Voice and supporting omni-channel customer journeys, real-time data exchange, and seamless customer interaction handling.

Proven ability to build and support cloud-native integrations, leveraging services such as AWS (e.g. Lambda, API Gateway, event services) alongside Salesforce to deliver reliable, loosely coupled, and scalable architectures.

Experience with GitHub and GitHub Actions, with an understanding of source-driven development, and automated testing/deployment strategies.

Proven experience leading technical delivery within Salesforce teams, providing guidance on best practices, code quality, and solution design, while ensuring delivery of enterprise-grade solutions aligned to agreed timelines, quality standards, and service levels.

Extensive experience working in agile delivery environments, applying Scrum and/or Kanban methodologies within Salesforce projects, and collaborating effectively with product owners, architects, QA, and business stakeholders to deliver iterative value.

Strong focus on quality engineering and shift-left practices, including unit testing (Apex), test automation, code reviews, static analysis, and security scanning integrated into the development lifecycle.

Experience leveraging AI and generative AI technologies considered an advantage.
