Job description

Role Summary:

We are looking for a Finance Assistant / Assistant Accountant to join our growing team. Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will help to run and support the day-to-day finance operations of the business. Collaborating closely with various teams within the organisation, including Sales & Marketing and Operations, you will also be a key point of contact for customers and suppliers.

Role responsibilities:

Support in preparing and submitting monthly management reporting to Group
Preparation of Balance Sheet reconciliations, including analysis, investigation, and resolution of reconciling items
Accurate recording and posting of banking transactions and any other relevant journals
Supporting the Finance Manager with the annual audit
Approving and processing expenses and mileage claims
Processing supplier invoices and scheduling payment runs
Management of customer credit control and credit insurance process
VAT and EC sales listing submissions to ROS
Business administration duties; including maintaining and assisting with the renewing of contracts for company fleet, utilities and other indirect costs
Other ad hoc finance projects and reporting

Profile

AAT or similar and looking to progress their accounting qualifications, CIMA preferred.
Previous experience in a similar position is essential.
Experience of SAP or similar ERP systems would be advantageous.
Competent with Excel; working knowledge of XLOOKUP, SUMIF and pivot tables.
Strong communication skills, a good team player and excellent attention to detail.
