Lanas Health Ltd has an exciting opportunity for a Hardware Desk Engineer to join our Technology team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing hands-on technical support for hardware systems, ensuring the smooth operation of desktops, laptops, and associated devices across the organisation. You will troubleshoot and resolve hardware issues, support installations and upgrades, and work closely with internal teams to maintain a reliable and efficient IT environment that enables our teams to deliver high-quality healthcare solutions. The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving skills, a proactive approach, and the ability to deliver excellent support in a fast-paced, user-focused environment.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Provide first- and second-line support for hardware-related issues across desktops, laptops, and peripheral devices
- Install, configure, and maintain hardware equipment in line with company standards
- Diagnose and resolve hardware faults, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations
- Support hardware rollouts, upgrades, and replacements as required
- Work closely with internal IT teams to escalate and resolve complex technical issues
- Maintain accurate records of incidents, resolutions, and hardware assets using ticketing systems
- Liaise with external vendors for repairs, replacements, and warranty support
- Perform routine maintenance checks to ensure optimal performance and identify potential issues
- Assist with setting up workstations, equipment, and user environments for new starters
- Contribute to continuous improvement of support processes and documentation
- Deliver a high level of customer service, ensuring clear communication with non-technical users
- Support compliance with IT security policies and best practices when handling hardware systems
The ideal candidate will possess the following qualification, skills, knowledge, and attributes:

Proven experience in a hardware support, desktop support, or IT support role
- Strong knowledge of computer hardware, including desktops, laptops, and peripherals
- Experience installing, configuring, and troubleshooting hardware devices
- Solid problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues efficiently
- Familiarity with ticketing systems and support workflows
- Good understanding of IT best practices, including security and device management
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain technical issues to non-technical users
- A proactive, customer-focused attitude with a commitment to delivering high-quality support
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment
- High attention to detail and a structured approach to documentation
- A willingness to learn, adapt, and stay up to date with new technologies
