Location Overview:

The Team:

The International & GWIM credit risk reporting team produces reports, dashboards and analysis used to identify, monitor and manage credit risk at Bank of America. Effective credit risk reporting is critical to provide a clear understanding of current and emerging risks, ensuring the bank can deliver responsible growth within our risk framework.

Role Description:

The Risk Analysis Specialist will be based in Dublin and use their business and technical knowledge to work on multiple reports at various stages of the lifecycle. They will be responsible for delivering these reports, accurately and as scheduled. The team also provides timely ad-hoc data and analysis, such as in response to market or geo-political events. We strive for best practice in reporting, and the Risk Analysis Specialist should set themselves a high standard when it comes to reporting documentation and controls.

The team is focused on automation and uses business intelligence tools such as Tableau and Power BI (Paginated Reports/SQL Server Reporting Services). The successful candidate will have familiarity with SQL and building reports and be intellectually curious with a process improvement mindset.

Responsibilities:

Supports the development and execution of reporting to allow risk and business partners to effectively identify and manage risk in an effective manner
Analyses trends and supports the data design, portfolio trends, loss trends, and portfolio dynamics to ensure alignment with business strategies
Supports various product strategic initiatives affecting multiple risk functions and lines of business to ensure company goals are met
Participates in the development of database production processes and performance reports, using data mining and other advanced analytical techniques to aggregate data
Support responses to ad-hoc requests for information from both internal and external parties
Provides support on efforts to remediate data quality issues
Assists with monitoring the outputs of controls and investigates alerts from the control checks

What we are looking for:

Relevant experience in a reporting, BI or MIS role,
Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience within credit risk or risk-related function
Experience using SQL and relational databases, in particular extracting data with complex queries
Proficient using BI tools such as Tableau or Power BI
Strong Excel skills, including pivot tables, lookups and data analysis

Skills that will help:

Global Risk Management experience
Knowledge of Bank of America systems – CRP (Credit Risk Platform)
Comfortable with Copilot and using AI to improve processes
Well-informed about data management and governance
Experience working with an Agile development process and collaborating with technology teams
Knowledge of ETL tools such as Alteryx or languages such as Python
