Our Asset Management and Investment Funds Group is a market leader, advising on all aspects of investment management issues and the establishment and ongoing operation of investment funds in Ireland. The Group consists of a highly experienced team that has an in-depth understanding of all types of investment funds, including UCITS, ETFs, AIFs, ELTIFs, money market funds and other fund structures investing in the public and private markets.
About the Role
This is a high-profile position within a market-leading practice advising on the full lifecycle of Irish investment funds. As a Senior Associate, you will advise domestic and international asset managers, fund promoters and financial institutions on the establishment, structuring, authorisation and ongoing operation of Irish funds
across the full range of fund products and management company businesses. Day to day, you will:
- Lead day-to-day management of complex fund establishment and regulatory projects.
- Draft and negotiate fund documentation.
- Engage with the Central Bank of Ireland and other industry bodies on behalf of our clients.
- Advise clients on Irish and EU regulatory requirements affecting funds and fund management companies.
- Build strong client relationships and act as a trusted adviser.
- Supervise and mentor junior lawyers, contributing to the development of the wider team.
- Work closely with partners on strategic client matters, business development initiatives and market-leading fund transactions.
You will need strong technical expertise, sharp commercial judgement, excellent drafting skills and the ability to manage multiple stakeholders and priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Advising clients on the establishment, authorisation, distribution and operation of Irish investment funds and related structures.
- Advising international asset managers and institutional clients on Irish legal and regulatory issues.
- Drafting and reviewing fund constitutional documents, offering materials and other fund documentation.
- Advising on Irish and EU financial services regulation (e.g., UCITS, AIFMD, sustainable finance and other relevant regimes).
- Liaising with the Central Bank of Ireland, fund management companies, administrators, depositaries and other service providers.
- Providing legal and commercial support on fund launches, restructurings, mergers and product developments.
- Working closely with colleagues across Corporate, Tax, Finance, Real Estate and Regulatory teams on cross-disciplinary matters.
- Participating in business development initiatives, client presentations and thought leadership activities.
- Building and maintaining strong client relationships while delivering high-quality legal advice.

4-5 years’ PQE in investment funds, asset management or financial services regulation — you know the landscape.
- A strong academic track record.
- Sharp drafting, analytical and technical legal skills.
- Genuine commercial instinct — you see beyond the legal question to the business answer.
- Proven ability to juggle multiple transactions and competing deadlines without dropping the ball.
- Excellent communication skills — you can explain complex regulatory positions clearly to clients and colleagues alike.
- Comfortable running your own files and equally happy collaborating across a high-performing team.
