Purchasing & Supply Chain Coordinator

Location: Tallaght, Dublin
Department: Operations
Reports to: Operations Manager

About the Role

Watershed Group is seeking a proactive and highly organised Purchasing & Supply Chain Coordinator to support our production operations by ensuring the timely procurement of raw materials, tooling, consumables, and outsourced services. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining material availability, controlling inventory, and building strong supplier relationships while supporting continuous improvement across the business.

Key Responsibilities

Purchasing

Raise and manage purchase orders through LabelTraxx/ERP.
Source raw materials, inks, plates, dies, consumables and production supplies.
Ensure materials are ordered in line with production schedules.
Expedite urgent orders to minimise production downtime.
Monitor supplier lead times and delivery performance.
Resolve supplier shortages and delivery issues promptly.
Negotiate pricing, lead times and commercial terms where appropriate.

Inventory Management

Maintain optimum inventory levels.
Review stock levels daily and place replenishment orders.
Minimise excess and obsolete stock.
Conduct regular stock reviews with Production and Planning.
Support monthly stock counts and inventory accuracy initiatives.

Supplier Management

Build and maintain strong supplier relationships.
Monitor supplier KPIs (On-Time Delivery, Quality, Service).
Support supplier audits and performance reviews.
Identify alternative suppliers to reduce supply risk.

Production Support

Attend daily production meetings.
Work closely with Planning, Production and Customer Service.
Ensure all materials are available before jobs are released to production.
Coordinate urgent material requirements.
Support continuous improvement initiatives across Operations.

Administration

Maintain accurate purchasing records.
Update supplier pricing and lead times.
Ensure purchasing documentation is completed accurately.
Produce purchasing and inventory reports as required.

Skills & Experience

Essential

2+ years' experience in Purchasing, Procurement or Supply Chain.
Strong organisational and planning skills.
Excellent communication skills.
High attention to detail.
Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Desirable

Experience in the printing, labels or packaging industry.
Experience using LabelTraxx or another ERP/MRP system.
Knowledge of inventory control and production planning.
Understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles.
