MTM Engineering is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to support a major Data Centre project in the Linz Area, Upper Austria. Reporting to the project management team, you will play a key role in the development, coordination, and delivery of electrical design solutions from concept through to construction. Working closely with Project Managers, Design Teams, and Clients, you will ensure designs are technically robust, compliant, and aligned with project requirements. The position can be undertaken locally in the Linz Area on a standard working arrangement or on a 3/1 rotation for candidates based elsewhere within the EU.

Responsibilities-
Collaborate with clients and project managers to review technical specifications and develop effective engineering solutions.

Produce detailed electrical designs and technical drawings for containment systems, cable routing, and associated infrastructure.

Troubleshoot design challenges and develop solutions to support project requirements and coordination with other services.

Extract measurements and design information from BIM models using Revit and Navisworks.

Review BIM models to identify coordination issues and support efficient project delivery.

Lead the development and review of electrical design scopes with internal teams and client stakeholders.

Prepare technical documentation including drawings, schedules, estimates, and project submittals.

Review technical data and specifications to ensure compliance with contractual and project requirements.

Manage technical submittals, equipment registers, and approval trackers.

Support the timely approval of materials and equipment through effective stakeholder coordination.

Conduct design and installation quality reviews to maintain project standards.

Support and mentor junior engineers, promoting technical development and knowledge sharing.
Requirements-
Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.

Minimum three years' experience in electrical design and coordination, ideally within data centre, industrial, or large-scale construction projects.

Strong knowledge of electrical containment systems, cable routing, and BIM coordination.

Proficiency in Revit, Navisworks, and Microsoft Office applications.

Excellent problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.

Fluent English, both written and spoken.

Ability to work either locally in the Linz Area, Upper Austria, or on a 3/1 rotational basis from elsewhere within the EU.

Valid EU passport or unrestricted ability to travel and work within the EU.
