The Role

Walkers is currently seeking an ambitious and enthusiastic Senior Associate/Of Counsel to join its highly regarded and market leading Finance & Capital Markets group in Dublin. Our award-winning Tier 1 practice is a recognised leader in its field and you will join a dynamic, experienced and growing team of high performance lawyers.

In this role, you will be given the opportunity to work on a broad range of big-ticket, cross-border transactions representing blue chip clients located in Ireland as well as globally. You will work closely with our partners and fee earners in Ireland and overseas offices in advising clients on the full range of debt capital markets, finance, private credit, fund finance, securitisation and structured finance transactions. Your work will be interesting, rewarding, challenging and impactful.

Key Focus Areas
Debt issuance programmes and private placements
Derivatives and risk transfer arrangements
Finance
Fund finance
Green finance and ESG products
Loan portfolio sales
Private credit
Real estate finance
Secured and unsecured corporate debt issuance transactions
Securitisations including ABS, CMBS, CLOs, RMBS, synthetic securitisations
Securities law and regulatory considerations
Structured finance transactions
The Person

We are seeking qualified lawyers who are 5+ years post qualification and who ideally have prior experience in finance, structured finance or debt capital markets in a recognised practice or in-house. We are open to hearing from those current practicing in Ireland or those interested in returning to Ireland. Additionally we are looking for candidates who can demonstrate the following:

Strong academic credentials;
Excellent analytical, technical and drafting skills;
A high level of commercial and business awareness;
A calm and measured approach to problem solving;
Ability to work independently and as part of a high performance team;
Excellent communication and collaboration skills;
A proven track record in managing competing priorities and deadlines.
