As we continue to grow, we're looking for an enthusiastic, organised and proactive Operations Manager to help oversee the day-to-day running of the business and support its continued expansion.
The Role
This is a varied hands-on position suited to someone who enjoys working with both people and animals. You'll work closely with the business owner to ensure our daily operations run smoothly while delivering exceptional customer service.
No two days are the same!
Key ResponsibilitiesDaily Operations
- Coordinate daily schedules for walks, grooming appointments, daycare, pet sitting and pet taxi services.
- Ensure staff arrive on time and complete services to company standards.
- Handle last-minute schedule changes and emergencies.
- Monitor daily workload and allocate house keys and jobs efficiently.
Customer Service
- Respond to customer enquiries via phone, email and social media.
- Manage bookings using booking software.
- Build strong relationships with clients.
- Resolve customer issues professionally.
Staff Management
- Assist with recruitment and onboarding.
- Manage rotas and staff availability.
- Support training and development.
- Conduct regular check-ins with team members.
Grooming & Salon Support
- Help ensure the grooming salon operates efficiently.
- Maintain appointment flow.
- Monitor stock levels and order supplies.
- Ensure cleanliness and health & safety standards.
Business Administration
- Maintain accurate client records.
- Prepare weekly reports.
- Monitor KPIs and business performance.
- Assist with invoices and payments.
- Ensure policies and procedures are followed.
Marketing Support
- Assist with promotions and community events.
- Help grow our local presence.
- Support social media planning where required.

Essential Requirements
- Previous experience in operations, office management or administration.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Strong organisational skills.
- Full clean driving licence (preferred).
- Comfortable around dogs of all breeds and sizes.
- Flexibility to occasionally work weekends or evenings.
- Right to work in Ireland.
Desirable
- Experience in the pet care industry.
- Dog handling experience.
- Knowledge of dog behaviour.
- Experience with scheduling software.
- Social media or marketing experience.
- First Aid qualification (or willingness to obtain one).
