Location: Charleville, Co. Cork

Ward & Burke seek an Electrical Engineer for Water and Wastewater projects.

This position is based out of the Charleville office with sites mainly in the Southwest Region of Ireland.

The successful candidate will assume a pivotal role in each project, including design, delivery/construction, commissioning, and handover.

The day-to-day requirements are as follows;

Design and specify electrical systems for new and existing wastewater treatment plants/ wastewater pumping stations, upgrades and expansions.
Prepare load schedules, tick sheets, control philosophy, system architecture, electrical layouts, single-line diagrams, cable schedules, commissioning plan and equipment specifications.
Coordinate with mechanical, civil, and process engineers to integrate electrical systems into overall plant design.
Review electrical schematics, P&IDs, and wiring diagrams to support troubleshooting and system integration
Preform cable sizing calculations.
Create and submit electrical submissions, review and answer questions on comments from client.
Preform site surveys to inspect existing equipment and electrical installation.
Sourcing and ordering electrical equipment for the project.
Supervise installation and commissioning of electrical panels, motors, MCCs, VSDs, lighting, and instrumentation systems.

The Candidate

The preferred candidate shall:

Have at least 2-3 years’ experience in a similar role.
Have safety at the forefront of every task.
Possess a keen attention to detail.
Be confident in LV electrical and control systems.
Have a good knowledge of instrumentation.
Hold a degree in Electrical, Electronic or a similar engineering field.
Be a strong written and verbal communicator.
