We are looking for an enthusiastic Junior Health & Safety Administrator to join our Environmental, Health & Safety team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop a career in Health & Safety, Environmental Compliance and ISO Management Systems within a fast-paced operational business.
Working alongside experienced EHS professionals, you'll gain hands-on experience supporting safety initiatives, audits, compliance, training administration and environmental reporting.
What you'll be doing
You'll support the EHS team across a variety of activities including:
- Assisting with site inspections and safety audits
- Maintaining Health & Safety, Environmental and Quality records
- Supporting ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 management systems
- Tracking corrective actions from audits and inspections
- Coordinating health & safety training records and refresher training
- Assisting with toolbox talks and safety communications
- Supporting vehicle, yard and equipment inspections
- Maintaining PPE, equipment and certification records
- Assisting with Risk Assessments & Method Statements (RAMS)
- Supporting environmental reporting and waste documentation
- Preparing documentation for client tenders and external audits
- Providing general administrative support to the EHS team
What we're looking for
Essential
- Strong administration and IT skills
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel & Outlook)
- Excellent attention to detail
- Strong organisational skills
- Ability to communicate effectively with colleagues across the business
- Full driving licence (or willingness to obtain one)
Desirable
- Qualification (or currently studying) in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science or a related discipline
- Previous administration or office experience
- Knowledge of ISO Management Systems
- Experience using business systems such as Salesforce or similar CRM platforms
