Hitachi Energy has an exciting opportunity for a Site Quality Specialist – EPC Substation.
Location, Dublin (Hybrid)

How you'll make an impact:
- Implement the Project Quality Plan (PQP) and Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs) across substation projects.
- Ensure all construction, installation, and commissioning activities comply with ESB/EirGrid requirements, Irish regulations, and IEC/EN standards.
- Verify that approved method statements and RAMS are followed on site.
- Carry out and witness inspections of civil works, electrical systems, and earthing installations.
- Support Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT), Site Acceptance Tests (SAT), commissioning activities, and project energisation.
- Maintain quality records, including inspection reports, test certificates, and material traceability documentation.
- Ensure CE compliance and support the preparation of Declarations of Conformity and handover documentation.
- Raise, investigate, and manage Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs), supporting root cause analysis and corrective actions.
- Monitor subcontractor quality performance and compliance with project requirements and Irish regulations.
- Conduct site audits and quality inspections, supporting client and third-party audits as required.
- Produce quality reports and support smooth project handover to clients.
- Drive a "right first time" approach to achieve defect-free project delivery.
- Degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 2 years of experience working on EPC, utility infrastructure, or substation construction projects.
- Experience working on HV/MV substation projects, ideally involving ESB Networks and/or EirGrid requirements.
- Good knowledge of IEC/EN standards and substation construction and commissioning activities.
- Understanding of ISO 9001 quality management systems.
- Safe Pass and Manual Handling certifications are required.
- ISO 9001 Auditor certification would be an advantage.
- Ability to read and interpret single-line diagrams (SLDs), schematics, and technical drawings.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent document control and reporting skills.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with project teams, subcontractors, and clients.
