Catering Assistant
Dublin Airport - Full time
Please note: Due to airport security requirements, applicants must hold a valid passport with at least 6 months' validity remaining, have a minimum B2 level of English, and be able to successfully complete Garda Vetting and Aviation Security Clearance. Employment is conditional upon meeting all of these requirements.
As a Catering Assistant, you'll support the smooth day-to-day operation of catering services by assisting with food preparation, service, cleaning and customer care. Working as part of a friendly and supportive team, you'll help ensure food safety, cleanliness and excellent service standards are maintained at all times. This is a fast-paced role that requires flexibility, teamwork and a positive attitude.
What you'll do:

Assist with the preparation and presentation of food in line with company standards.

Serve food and beverages in a professional, friendly and efficient manner.

Operate tills and handle customer transactions where required.

Replenish food displays, counters and service areas throughout the day.

Maintain high standards of cleanliness in dining areas, kitchens and food preparation areas.

Wash dishes, utensils and catering equipment using manual and mechanical cleaning methods.

Follow all food hygiene, allergen and Health & Safety procedures.

Assist with receiving and storing food deliveries correctly.

Monitor stock levels and notify supervisors of replenishment requirements.

Provide excellent customer service and respond positively to customer enquiries.

Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure efficient service during busy periods.

Support the wider catering team with additional duties as required.
What you'll bring:

Previous experience working in a food handling environment

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Reliable, punctual and flexible with working hours.

Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Good attention to detail.
