Having a comprehensive understanding of all the food hygiene, health & safety, and policies of the hotel.
Preparing afternoon tea items, breads, desserts, and pastry following traditional and modern recipes.
Innovate new and exciting desserts to refresh our menus and engage the interest of our guests.
Good knowledge of the pastry section.
Assisting with the creation of new seasonal pastries, desserts, and menus.
Actively seeking to maintain knowledge of industry trends and put them to good use to improve our services.
Knowledge of best cooking practices and understanding of trends and new styles.
Attention to detail and high standards of presentation, creative flair, and imagination.
Ability to multitask and work efficiently under pressure.
Always maintains portion control to ensure minimum wastage.
Monitor stocks for baking ingredients and make appropriate orders within budget.
Assisting other Chefs when required.
Contributing to maintaining kitchen and food safety standards.
Check quality of material and condition of equipment and machinery used for baking and report any faulty items through approved procedures.
Develop and maintain recipes for all menu items.
