About Us

We are a small but growing boutique bookkeeping practice based in Dun Laoghaire, providing top-quality bookkeeping, payroll, and VAT services to a diverse range of clients. We pride ourselves on delivering professional, accurate, and personalised financial services with a strong focus on client communication and service excellence.

Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join our team. The ideal candidate will have prior experience working in a small bookkeeping practice, be proficient in Irish bookkeeping and VAT submission processes, and be comfortable using various accounting software. Strong communication skills and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment are essential.

Key Responsibilities

Manage day-to-day bookkeeping for a portfolio of clients across different industries.
Prepare and submit VAT returns, ensuring compliance with Irish tax regulations.
Reconcile bank accounts, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
Handle client queries efficiently and professionally.
Maintain accurate financial records and reports.
Work with different accounting and payroll software, ensuring seamless data management.
Assist in preparing financial statements and management reports.

Key Requirements

Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years working in an Irish bookkeeping environment.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in bookkeeping software (such as Sage, Xero, QuickBooks etc.).
Regulatory Knowledge: Understanding of Irish tax l regulations, including VAT, PAYE, PRSI, USC, and RCT.
Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact effectively with clients.
Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and thoroughness in financial tasks.
Multi-Tasking Ability: Comfortable handling multiple clients and deadlines.
Team Player: Ability to work independently while also contributing to a small team environment.
