In this position, you will be responsible for Detail Equipment Engineering for various build initiatives across multiple networks. You will engineer and manage multiple simultaneous projects. The position requires involvement throughout the life cycle of a build, in particular to resolve technical issues as they present themselves.
Creating detailed, often complex, technical installation instructions (I-SPECs) for new and existing technologies as per Standards.
Ensuring engineering instructions include project-specific installation details, equipment configurations, card/port assignments/requirements, power mapping and sizing, copper and fibre cable running lists, diversity requirements, floor space & rack placement, and a detailed major/minor Bill of Materials.
Creating Pre-Engineering/Site Survey documentation for network projects; creating Front Door Requests for installations at VzW sites.
Ensuring that work meets all applicable engineering, financial, planning, and operational standards.
Interfacing with Centre Engineering, Field Engineering, Operations, and other Implementation organisations to obtain critical pre-engineering information, site-specific data, as well as redlines and other end-of-job information.
Providing technical guidance, as needed, on First Office Application (FOA) projects, using knowledge of existing installation configurations and extrapolating feasible solutions.
Ensuring all engineering documentation (including ICON/CND, CCP, Canvas, VENUe, etc.) is accurate and up-to-date for use by Install, Test, Implementation, Operations, Provisioning, Planning, Network Capacity Manager, Service Assurance, and Audit teams.
Resolving a wide array of engineering issues in coordination with other internal/external organisations.
Managing multiple simultaneous projects and providing timely updates to upgrade or reconfigure the network in support of new Customer Growth, as well as decommissioning activities to free space/power and generate cost savings.
Identifying, monitoring, reporting, escalating, coordinating, and driving engineering issues (both small and complex) to resolution.
Maintaining excellent communication with the Project Sponsor/Originator, Functional Team Members, and Direct Management to ensure early identification of issues and timely reporting of status.
What we’re looking for...

Telecoms Installation Experience - hands-on or remotely directed.
