Programme Supervisor
Permanent Contract, 39 hours per week
Location: RehabCare Athlone Resource Centre
About the Role:
As part of a professional team and progressive service, the role supports individuals with complex needs to achieve and maintain valued roles in their community through learning, social and recreational opportunities. Dunboyne Day Centre is a Physical and Sensory Day centre which supports people in the Dunboyne and surrounding area.
The purpose of the job is to promote and support independent living and community integration, personal development and work opportunities for service users.
The role requires the post holder to assist the Manager in supporting and supervising programme facilitators to implement and deliver quality customer focused and cost effective community services to service users at an appropriate time and setting. It includes the provision and supervision of individual programmes and activities to meet the cognitive and physical needs, choices and abilities of service-users and to ensure there is excellence in the standard of record keeping.
Working in accordance with the values of Supported Self-Directed Living while implementing the core values of New Directions the post-holder will supervise and facilitate individuals in their programmes, passionately supporting their educational, developmental, recreational, social and occupational activities.
The role requires the investigation of new opportunities and the requirement to advocate in the best interest of the people in the care, service and support of the Rehab Group.
What we’re looking for:
QQI level 6 in health and social care or equivalent.
Experience of working with individuals with physical and sensory disability and complex needs.
Experience in the provision of community and service based programmes and activities to promote independence and meet the needs, choices and abilities of clients.
Experience of facilitation, implementation and review of Support/Care Plans.
Experience of managing and maintaining a focus on Health, Safety, Hygiene and good housekeeping guidelines in a service setting and ensuring best practice.
Experience of management and supervising both individuals and teams.
Experience in design and development of staff rotas. Experience of working within New Directions Framework.
Full Clean Driving Licence preferable
Your Responsibilities
- To manage the day to day delivery of a truly person centred service for all clients who attend Dunboyne Resource Centre.
- To liaise with families, multidisciplinary teams and other personnel to ensure the best quality of service with the clients as directed by community services manager
- To document information and complete paperwork as deemed necessary for delivery of service to the clients who avail of the Service for accountability purpose
Salary starting from point 1 €39,903.36 to point 16 €57,310.33 (pro rata), is subject to experience and qualification.
