The Opportunity
Our Transport Team in Clonshaugh, County Dublin have an exciting opportunity for a Transport Team Manager where you will be responsible for the successful delivery of day-to-day transport operations at site, ensuring operational excellence, customer satisfaction and team delivery.
This role will see you working 10-hour shifts Sunday to Wednesday, where you will work, 7am to 5pm Sundays and 9am to 5pm Monday to Wednesdays. Although flexibility is required to support the team.
What you'll be doing
Reporting into the Transport Operations Manager you will assist with a variety of tasks that not only add value to the operation but ensures a best-in-class transport service. You will be responsible for:
- Maintaining a safe and friendly working environment for all employees, agencies and subcontractors
- Own the recruitment, induction, absence management, well-being meetings and 1:1 process, including disciplinaries, grievances and investigations.
- Ensuring effective communication within the transport teams through meetings and briefings.
- Responsible for the delivery of operational KPIs, maintaining and improving performance levels to maximise the efficiency of the operation in line with service delivery targets.
In addition, you will support the transport operations managers and team with any additional tasks as and when required.
What we're looking for
To be successful in your application you will have proven transport supervisory or managerial experience, ideally within a fast-paced FMCG environment and be knowledgable in transport rules, regulations, compliance and systems. You will be an excellent communicator able to build excellent working relationships, a natural problem solver with an analytical mindset and a passion for encouraging teamwork, focusing on creating a diverse and innovative culture where employees feel empowered and engaged.
Desirable Skills:
- Previous experience of working in a trade unionised environment
- CPC certified.

Salary: Up to €50,000 per annum
Hours: 10-hour shifts Sunday to Wednesday, where you will work, 7am to 5pm Sundays and 9am to 5pm Monday to Wednesdays.
