Kitchen Porter - Nove Restaurant, Malahide

Role: Kitchen Porter

Location: Nove, Malahide, Co. Dublin

Reports to: Head Chef / Sous Chef

About the Role

Nove is looking for a reliable, hard-working Kitchen Porter to join our kitchen team. You'll play a key role in keeping the kitchen running smoothly - supporting the chefs, maintaining hygiene standards, and ensuring service flows without a hitch.

Key Responsibilities

Washing pots, pans, utensils, and crockery efficiently during and after service

Keeping kitchen surfaces, floors, and equipment clean and sanitised

Assisting chefs with basic food prep (peeling, chopping, portioning) as needed

Receiving and storing deliveries correctly (stock rotation, cold storage, dry goods)

Managing waste and recycling in line with kitchen procedures

Maintaining cleanliness in line with HACCP and food safety standards

Supporting the wider kitchen team during busy service periods

Reporting any equipment issues or maintenance needs to the Head Chef

Requirements

Previous kitchen or hospitality experience an advantage but not essential

Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment

Strong attention to detail and pride in cleanliness

Good team player with a positive, flexible attitude

Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and bank holidays

Basic food safety awareness (HACCP training a plus, or willingness to complete)
