The Role:
Lord Abbett is seeking an Investment Data Specialist to support our Operations team from our office in Dublin, Ireland. This role is responsible for ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and timely availability of investment and account data supporting Funds, Institutional, and Separately Managed Accounts (SMAs). The Investment Data Specialist partners closely with Investment, Operations, Technology, and external service providers to support business operations, data quality, and scalable operating models.
The role is located in Dublin, Ireland, with close collaboration with team members co-located in Jersey City, NJ.
We’ll trust you to::
- Own day-to-day operational and data-quality processes, including early-morning (US Eastern Time) controls supporting daily market-open readiness.

Perform business and data analysis to identify anomalies, trends, and root causes; partner with Technology to implement automated controls and remediation solutions.

Coordinate with key strategic data and service providers to ensure consistent and accurate security and account data across platforms.

Perform daily and periodic validation of external sponsor models, identifying anomalies (e.g., zero-weight positions, model drift) and escalating issues to Investment or Operations teams as appropriate.

Oversee account lifecycle activities, including sponsor account setup reviews, liquidation monitoring, reconciliation status validation, and timely communication with trading and operations teams.

Support exception management and compliance activities, including monitoring MBS tail positions, assisting with violation reporting, and normalizing underlying data inputs.

Maintain the integrity of the security master by identifying missing or incorrect attributes and driving resolution with internal teams and external vendors.

Review and maintain Operations workflows and procedural documentation, ensuring accuracy and audit readiness.

Proactively identify process gaps, risks, and control enhancements; implement streamlined workflows that support scalable institutional operating models.

Define and document business requirements, support testing, and participate in go-live activities for operational enhancements and strategic initiatives.
You'll need to have::
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.

4–6 years of experience in investment operations, data management, or business analysis within asset management.

Strong understanding of investment products (Fixed Income, Equities, Derivatives) and the trade lifecycle across Funds, Institutional, and SMA structures.

Demonstrated experience improving operational processes, data quality, and control frameworks.

High attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.

Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across Investment, Operations, Technology, and external partners.

Experience with investment systems such as Bloomberg, Charles River, APL, sponsor platforms, or similar tools.

Analytical or programming skills (e.g., SQL, Python) used to support data analysis, controls, or automation initiatives. (preferred)

Compensation Information: Annual base salary for this role is €85,000 - €100,000. Salary is estimated for this role. Actual pay may be different.
Discretionary Bonus: Role may be eligible to receive an annual discretionary bonus. Discretionary bonuses are determined by several factors including, but not limited to, firm, team, and individual performance.
