Job Opportunity: Principal Web Application Architect

Location: Dublin (Office-based, 3 days a week)

Role Type: Full-Time, Permanent

Are you a creative powerhouse with a passion for designing scalable, enterprise-grade web and mobile applications? Do you thrive in a room with a whiteboard, brainstorming and solving complex problems with stakeholders? If so, we have the perfect role for you.

I am looking for a Principal Web Application Architect to join a dynamic team in Dublin. This is a design-heavy role for someone who loves crafting innovative solutions, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and building technology that will impact over 40 million users.

About the Role

Design Focus: Your designs will set the foundation for a wide range of projects, including marketplaces, POS systems, AI-driven solutions, and consumer tech products.
Collaboration: Be “Captain Compromise” – resolving conflicts and aligning stakeholders while ensuring technical and business needs are met.
Leadership: You’ll work closely with a newly-formed engineering team that’s projected to grow to 30 members within the next year.
Impact: Your designs will drive the success of enterprise-scale applications, balancing innovation, performance, and maintainability.

What You’ll Do

Architect web and mobile applications with a deep focus on user experience, scalability, and modern technology stacks.
Collaborate daily with stakeholders to brainstorm and refine solutions on-site in Dublin (3 days a week).
Create detailed design models that guide engineers toward seamless implementation.
Evaluate and recommend the best tools, frameworks, and cloud services for the job.
Strategically contribute to the company’s roadmap and tech vision while handling the day-to-day design workload.
Serve as a bridge between technical teams and business leaders, ensuring alignment across projects.

Communicator: Skilled at presenting complex ideas in simple terms to stakeholders and engineers alike.

Requirements

Proven experience in designing web and mobile applications at scale.
Strong expertise in architecture modeling and modern tech stacks.
Experience with cloud services and their integration into enterprise systems.
Comfortable with minimal coding but strong in architecture design and problem-solving.
Hands-on experience with collaborative tools (and a love for the whiteboard!).
A background as a senior developer transitioning into architecture is welcome.
