JOB OVERVIEW
Select Roofing & Cladding is recruiting a Junior Construction Project Manager to support the planning, coordination and delivery of commercial and industrial roofing, cladding and building-envelope projects.
This is a developmental construction project-management role suitable for a recent Construction Management or Engineering graduate, an experienced Project Coordinator, Site Engineer or Site Supervisor, or someone with early project-management experience who is ready to take the next step.
The successful candidate will work alongside experienced Project Managers and develop practical experience across the complete construction project lifecycle—from pre-construction planning and procurement through to site delivery, handover and project close-out.

Founded in 2001, Select Roofing & Cladding is a proudly Irish-owned specialist roofing and cladding contractor.
We deliver complex commercial and industrial projects across Ireland, the UK and Europe, working within sectors including data centres, pharmaceuticals, healthcare, commercial, industrial, education, hospitality and residential construction.
Our services include flat roofing systems, specialist roofing and cladding systems, architectural façades, design and engineering, and in-house fabrication.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Support the Project Manager in coordinating roofing, cladding and building-envelope projects from commencement through to completion.
- Assist with the preparation and monitoring of project programmes, work plans, schedules and delivery milestones.
- Coordinate with clients, main contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, site supervisors and internal departments.
- Monitor construction progress and promptly highlight delays, risks, resource constraints or technical issues.
- Attend project, site and coordination meetings and maintain accurate records of decisions and agreed actions.
- Assist with the coordination and review of construction drawings, technical submittals, specifications and project information.
- Support the scheduling and procurement of materials, plant and subcontractor resources.
- Help ensure materials and resources are available in line with the construction programme.
- Maintain accurate project documentation, including progress reports, site records, correspondence, variations and change orders.
- Assist with monitoring project costs, budgets and commercial performance.
- Support the management of quality inspections, snagging, remedial works and project handover.
- Ensure work is completed in accordance with company procedures, approved specifications, quality requirements and contractual obligations.
- Promote high standards of health and safety and support compliance with project-specific safety requirements.
- Build effective working relationships with clients, contractors, suppliers and internal project teams.
- Take increasing responsibility for project packages or smaller projects as knowledge and experience develop.
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS
- A relevant qualification in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Building Engineering or a related discipline; or equivalent construction experience.
- Some practical experience in construction, site coordination, project coordination, site engineering or site supervision.
- Strong organisational and planning skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and follow tasks through to completion.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and an ability to maintain accurate project records.
- A proactive, practical and solution-focused approach.
- Ability to work effectively with site teams, subcontractors, suppliers and clients.
- Willingness to learn and develop within a construction project-management position.
DESIRABLE EXPERIENCE
- Previous experience in roofing, cladding, façades or building-envelope construction.
- Experience working for a specialist subcontractor or main contractor.
- Familiarity with construction drawings, specifications, programmes and technical submittals.
- Experience assisting with project costs, variations, procurement or commercial reporting.
- Knowledge of construction health and safety and quality-control requirements.
- Competence in Microsoft Office and construction project-management systems.
THE PERSON
The successful candidate will be grounded, professional and eager to learn. You will take ownership of your responsibilities, communicate clearly and raise issues before they become problems.
You do not need to arrive as a fully developed Project Manager. However, you must demonstrate the judgement, initiative and accountability needed to become one.
