Join PwC Ireland’s market‑leading Tax Technology & Transformation (TT&T) team and help reinvent how tax functions operate. Whether you bring deep tax experience or come from a finance operations, data, engineering, or technology background with exposure to tax processes, we’d love to speak with you.
At PwC Ireland, you’ll be part of a purpose-driven organisation dedicated to building trust in society and solving our clients’ most complex challenges. Here, diverse teams collaborate across sectors and geographies to deliver innovative solutions that make a real difference.
We invest in your growth through continuous learning, leadership development, and access to cutting-edge technology, empowering you to shape your career and impact the future of business and society.
About the role:
Our TT&T team blends tax, finance, and technology expertise to help leading organisations modernise their tax functions. We partner with clients across industries to design strategies, implement market‑leading platforms, optimise ERP for tax, and leverage AI, automation, and analytics to deliver robust, efficient, and compliant outcomes. As global tax reporting and regulatory requirements evolve, we enable clients to build future‑ready, data‑driven tax operations aligned to broader business objectives.
What you will do:
You will shape, design, and deliver technology‑enabled tax transformation across one or more tax domains, with opportunities to operate as a specialist or across multiple areas depending on your skills and interests. Typical responsibilities include:
Defining tax technology roadmaps aligned to enterprise operating models, data strategies, and control frameworks, across direct tax, indirect tax, and operational transfer pricing.
Designing and implementing solutions using AI/ML, automation, data extraction, transformation and analytics to modernise compliance, provisioning, reporting, and tax workflow management.
Deploying market‑leading tax platforms and PwC hosted SaaS solutions, and integrating specialist tax applications and tax engines as appropriate.
Optimising ERP tax processes and data models (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics 365) to enable fit‑for‑purpose data flows for tax engines, analytics, and downstream reporting.
Leading end‑to‑end delivery across scoping, solution design, build, testing, integration, change management, and user adoption, while mentoring and developing high‑performing teams.
Building trusted relationships across client stakeholder groups (corporate tax, indirect tax, transfer pricing, finance, IT, data, and controls) and within the PwC global network.
Supporting go‑to‑market initiatives, contributing to proposals and thought leadership, and continuously scanning emerging technologies and regulatory change to inform client solutions.
You will combine tax domain knowledge with cutting‑edge technology to deliver measurable impact at scale. You’ll gain hands‑on exposure to Agentic AI, automation, cloud, data platforms, and workflow technologies while operating in a collaborative, entrepreneurial environment. You will work across industries and tax topics, with the opportunity to specialise or diversify over time. As you grow, you’ll lead significant programmes, shape solution architectures, and coach teams, all while benefiting from PwC’s learning culture, inclusive benefits, and flexible working approach.
