The Opportunity
We are looking for an experienced Senior Contract Manager to join our Assets Consulting team, leading procurement and contract management assignments across complex infrastructure and transport projects. In this role, you will provide trusted commercial and strategic advice to clients, working with multidisciplinary teams to help procure, manage, and optimise contracts effectively. You will also support the development of junior colleagues and contribute to the growth of the team. As part of Arup’s wider advisory business, you will help clients deliver smarter, more sustainable infrastructure through a collaborative approach that combines technical, commercial, and strategic expertise.
As Contract Manager at Arup, you will:

Support the day-to-day contract management and contract administration of transport and infrastructure projects, helping project teams manage obligations, deliverables, risks, and timescales.

Maintain accurate contract records and project documentation, including contract correspondence, governance records, risk registers, action logs, and reporting information.

Monitor contract performance by tracking key obligations, milestones, actions, change items, budgets, and reporting requirements to support effective project delivery.

Provide practical contract management support to clients and multidisciplinary project teams, helping resolve queries, clarify responsibilities, and keep delivery aligned with project requirements.

Contribute to procurement and tender processes, including supporting procurement strategies, preparing tender information, coordinating clarifications, reviewing submissions, and documenting evaluation outcomes.

A relevant degree in Contract Management, Procurement, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related qualification.

4+ years of experience in contract management, contract administration, procurement, commercial management, or a related project delivery role, ideally within transport, infrastructure, engineering, construction, or public sector projects.

Practical experience supporting contract administration activities, including tracking obligations, preparing documentation, managing contract records, supporting change processes, and contributing to performance reporting.

Awareness of Public Works and/or NEC forms of contract, with an interest in developing deeper expertise in contract management for infrastructure projects.

Experience supporting public procurement or tender processes, combined with strong organisational and communication skills and confidence working with multidisciplinary project teams.
