THE ROLE

Are you a recent graduate or early into your marketing career and looking to build experience in a fast-paced commercial and marketing environment? Imperial Brands are currently recruiting for a Trade Marketing Executive to join our team in Dublin on a 12 month fixed basis.

We are looking for a talented and commercially minded Trade Marketing Executive to join our team on a 12-month fixed-term contract. Reporting to our Ireland Market Manager, you will play a key role in delivering impactful shopper activation programmes, developing trade marketing campaigns and driving customer engagement across multiple channels.

This is a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience delivering trade marketing campaigns, working with leading customers, analysing performance data, and collaborating with teams across marketing, sales and digital.

This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious individual who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, collaborating with a range of stakeholders and turning ideas into effective activation plans.

You will support the implementation of a comprehensive program of activation initiatives across all trade channels. You'll be responsible for co-creating, planning, and executing a full suite of marketing materials that drive outstanding shopper and trade experiences.

Please note: this role is based at our Dublin office, where we work on a hybrid basis of 2 days per week in the office.

PRINCIPLE ACCOUNTABILITIES

Support the delivery multicategory shopper activation plan with the creation and development of toolkits to support the trade for key activations
Manage the setup of 360 campaigns with coordination of stakeholders across cluster.
Trade Communications with manage of yearly trade press agreements
Management of all annual Digital Trade Partnerships with priority customers and activation of agreed digital assets aligned to account specific calendars ensuring full visibility of costs and ROI.
Analysing and reporting on activation plans and expenditure and their ROI as required.
Monitor and benchmark competitor activities, category trends and shopper habits, recommending plans and actions to ensure shopper activation surges ahead of the competition.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

Previous experience with a trade marketing, brand marketing or similar role
Experience of successful delivery of omni-channel consumer activation via the trade and direct to shoppers with a proven track record of external customer management.
An understanding of the roles of different media across the marketing mix including digital marketing and ecommerce management, with proven experience of working with activation agencies.
Excellent analytical skills with the ability to create targets, understand performance and deliver insights taken from raw sales data.
Strong influencing and stakeholder management skills in a complex matrix organisation.
Able to demonstrate an entrepreneurial, growth mindset, with the ability to be proactive, confident and self-motivated and prepared to challenge conventional thinking.
