Full job description

We are seeking an experienced and proactive Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) Manager to provide maternity leave cover and support the delivery of our HSE strategy across the business.

This role will play a key part in maintaining high standards of safety performance, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements, and driving a positive safety culture across our operations.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the implementation of the company’s EHS management systems in line with ISO 45001 and ISO 14001
Provide expert guidance and support to project teams across all aspects of health, safety, and environmental management
Monitor compliance with Irish and UK EHS legislation and company standards
Conduct site audits, inspections, and risk assessments, ensuring actions are effectively closed out
Drive incident investigations, ensuring root cause analysis and effective close-out of actions
Support onboarding processes, including induction compliance and training verification
Engage with site management, subcontractors, and stakeholders to promote a strong safety culture
Prepare and present EHS performance reports to senior management
Support continuous improvement initiatives and lead key safety campaigns

The Candidate

Degree or equivalent qualification in Health & Safety / Environmental Management
Minimum 5–7 years’ experience in an EHS role within construction or a related industry
Strong knowledge of EHS legislation and best practices
Professional membership (e.g. IOSH, IEMA, IIRSM) is desirable
Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
Proven experience managing audits, inspections, and compliance systems
Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects/ teams
