KNOW THE ROLE
To safeguard company assets and ensure operational excellence by overseeing all cash office processes, payment systems, compliance controls and align processes across Dublin stores.
The role is central to driving audit integrity, fraud prevention, adherence to internal policies, operational excellence in managing all forms of customer payments, and POS compliance while providing leadership, training, and support across the retail team.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee stores cash handling including:
Store file – safe and floats, preparation and planning for peak. Support Sales Audit on GSLS requirements
POS daily end-of-day cash management, GSLS collection and reporting follow up
O&S investigation and escalation of unresolved shortages and overages to Sales Audit and fraud team
Manual adjustment cash transaction verification and investigation ensure no suspicious transactions
Implement best practices for cash handling, align policies on floats, cash refund process and cash removal from POS process
Oversight of sundry cheque or cash items confirm with Sales Audit correct account to lodge etc
Audit bag review and management, establish best practice, ensure suspicious and exception receipts are investigated, escalated to fraud team and case file built where necessary
Ensure prompt reconciliation is managed and accurate across all stores
Deposit management and review of all outstanding deposits
Compliance Oversight:
Manage credit card terminals Chain of custody across stores. Ensure timely updates of movement and maintain secure environment for terminals on and off the floor
Square System familiarity and use training
Training & Team Development:
Ensure teams have completed compulsory L&D and encourage participation of excel and other inhouse training to support a more efficient cash office team
Support stores to ensure completion levels on AML and PCI training
General Duties
Fraud Prevention, Reporting & Analysis:
Review daily reports and identify anomalies and pattern variances across the group’s stores
Work with Fraud analytics team to provide actionable insights on transaction trends and variances
Incident Management: Report suspicious / negligent behaviour to Fraud team, oversee breach escalation processes and support store management with guided counselling sessions for issues and errors to achieve timely resolution
KNOW WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
Previous cash office management experience desirable
Strong numerical accuracy and ability to analyse financial data and trends
Excellent communication and influencing skills across all levels
Proven ability to lead, coach, and delegate effectively within a team
Highly organised, with strong planning and prioritisation abilities
Competent user of MS Word, Excel, and reporting tools
Strong problem-solving mindset, able to manage issues under pressure
Detail-oriented with a focus on compliance and operational standards
Professional, reliable, and able to maintain confidentiality and integrity
