The Senior Systems Analyst will be responsible for managing and optimising our financial & commercial systems and processes - ensuring accurate financial & commercial reporting, data integrity, and operational efficiency. This role will act as a bridge between the finance & commercial departments and internal / external IT partners, ensuring that systems meet the organisation's needs as the business continues to grow.
The immediate focus of the role is the implementation of our new ERP system, Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central.
You will own the finance & commercial workstreams of the implementation - working alongside our implementation partner on configuration, data migration, testing and training. Once the ERP is live and stable, the role will evolve into the ongoing ownership, optimisation, and development of Business Central and our wider portfolio of financial & commercial systems.
ERP Implementation (Immediate Priority):
Lead the finance & commercial workstreams of the Business Central implementation, acting as the internal point of contact between our implementation partner and business stakeholders.
Gather, document, and validate business requirements and map them to Business Central functionality.
Support system configuration, including dimensions, workflows, roles, and permissions.
Manage data migration activities: extraction, cleansing, mapping, and validation of master and transactional data.
Plan and execute user acceptance testing, logging and tracking issues through to resolution.
Deliver end-user training and provide first-line support through go-live and the hypercare period.
Financial & Commercial Systems Management:
Oversee the administration, maintenance, and enhancement of the financial & commercial elements of Business Central.
Act as the primary contact for finance & commercial system-related issues, upgrades, and changes.
Lead future system implementations and upgrades, including planning, testing, and deployment.
Provide input during vendor selection and build relationships with software providers.
Process Improvement:
Identify inefficiencies in current financial & commercial processes and propose system-driven solutions.
Collaborate with stakeholders to design and implement streamlined workflows.
Data Management, Analysis & Reporting:
Ensure the accuracy, security, and integrity of financial & commercial data within our systems.
Develop and maintain custom reports and dashboards (e.g. Power BI, Jet Reports) tailored to organisational needs.
Support month-end and year-end reporting by ensuring data accuracy and system functionality.
Training, Support & Documentation:
Provide ongoing training and support to end-users to ensure effective use of financial & commercial systems.
Create and maintain documentation for system processes and procedures.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Work closely with IT, finance, commercial and other departments to align systems with business requirements.
Act as a liaison to resolve system-related issues promptly.
