Requirements:

Be registered on the General Division of the Register of Nurses maintained by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI).

Have a minimum of five years post-registration clinical experience in an acute healthcare setting.

Have a minimum of 3-5 years' experience in a nursing leadership or management position.
-
Hold a Postgraduate Diploma in Oncology Nursing or a relevant specialist qualification.
-
Demonstrate advanced clinical knowledge and professional expertise in oncology, haematology and/or palliative care services.
-
Demonstrate excellent leadership, communication and interpersonal skills.
-
Possess a high level of written and verbal competency in the English language.
Desirable Criteria
-
Have completed a recognised management or leadership development programme to diploma level or higher.

Evidence of ongoing professional development and commitment to lifelong learning.
-
Demonstrated ability to analyse clinical practice, implement improvements and lead service development initiatives.
-
Sound understanding of operational management, healthcare governance and service delivery.
-
Working knowledge of risk management, quality improvement, clinical audit and human resource management practices.
-
Experience in workforce planning, rostering and resource management.
-
Competency in the use of Microsoft Office applications and healthcare information systems.
-
Ability to work effectively under pressure, prioritise competing demands and make timely decisions.
-
Experience of leading multidisciplinary teams and managing change.
-
Knowledge of Joint Commission International (JCI), HIQA, OECI standards and accreditation processes.
-
Ability to identify opportunities for innovation and future service development.
