Zurich Insurance Europe AG, Ireland Branch is looking for a Head of Project Delivery, Governance, and PMO on a contract basis for a 17 month period.

As Head of Project Delivery, Governance and PMO you will deliver Zurich's Business Change Portfolio and maturity development with the goal to achieve project delivery excellence across the organisation.

Act as a key enabler and foundation for effective group wide project and portfolio management. Ensures delivery and governance standards are adhered to across all change delivery within the organisation. Leads the business case development, project mobilisation, project delivery assurance (with a particular focus on project planning, risk identification and mitigation, resourcing, technology delivery, and third-party relationships), and financial budgeting, forecasting, and tracking.

This role may be available part-time or full time. This is because we want the best people for our roles, and we recognise that sometimes those people aren’t available full-time. Please talk to us at interview about the flexibility you may need.

Job Summary

Zurich Insurance Europe AG, Ireland Branch is looking for a Head of Project Delivery, Governance, and PMO on a secondment basis.

Your Role

Your main responsibilities will include, but not necessarily be limited to, the following:

Project Business Case Development
Project Scoping
Project Planning
Risk Assessment
Change Management & Business Readiness Assessment
Project Delivery Assurance (with a focus on Operating Model and Technology Delivery Assurance)
Project Steering Meeting Key Contributor
Chairs Monthly Executive Team Change Governance Forum
Stakeholder Management (Executive Sponsors, Exec -1 and -2 reports, and assigned Product Owners, Head of IT and direct reports, Group Project Management Office and Group Technology and Operations relationships)
Ensuring all project stakeholders understand their roles and responsibilities and can carry out their roles effectively
Resource allocation

Planview (Budget Spend Tracking) & Group PMO PoC

PMO

Change Portfolio Budget Forecasting and Actuals Tracking and Reporting

Change Portfolio Team Coordination Meetings and Issue Resolution

Performance Management Accountabilities

People Management
Leads a team of 5-7 project managers across a Change Portfolio of c.7-10 projects plus small change initiatives, PMO, and
Change Management function
Matrix reporting of all project contributors
Demonstrates commitment to corporate values
Take accountability for participation in performance management cycles
Take action to improve team performance on the job
Assist and support co-workers modelling leadership in all facets of Change Delivery
Take action to support own personal development

Your Skills & Experience

At least 7 years experience in the following disciplines:

Project Management & Planning
Portfolio Management Reporting
Risk Management
Financial Reporting
Technology Solution Development
Operating Model Solution Development
Experience in leading large change programmes with technology and people/organisational change is essential
Open and collaborative style, with a desire for continuous improvement, and creation of an enjoyable and collegiate working environment with a proven track record of success

Additional Information

Primary work location is Dublin/Wexford but occasional travel may be required to other Zurich locations.
