Fineco Asset Management DAC (FAM) is a Dublin based asset management subsidiary of FinecoBank S.p.A. (FinecoBank). FinecoBank (Fineco) is a leading European bank with a 20-year history and a fully digital DNA with a branchless approach since the start.
FAM, which started its operations in May 2018, is authorized by the Central Bank of Ireland as a UCITS Management Company and it currently has approximately €29.5bn in assets under management. FAM is a competence centre- specialised in the management of fund-of-funds, single strategy funds, as well as Structured Solutions Funds.
In addition to portfolio management activities, all key supporting and controlling functions, such as Compliance, Risk, Finance and Legal, are also performed locally. Fineco AM started with 5 employees and has grown rapidly over the past 3 years with a headcount currently sitting at 75 FTEs and growing quickly (half of our headcount was hired during the pandemic period).
The Role
Supporting the Head of Operations in maintaining an effective operations, oversight and outsourcing governance framework for a regulated Irish UCITS Management Company. The position combines day-to-day operational oversight of outsourced service providers with NAV and valuation oversight, regulatory reporting coordination, fund lifecycle support, and operational risk management. The successful candidate will be expected to challenge service providers constructively, produce clear governance reporting, and contribute to process improvement, automation and operational resilience initiatives.

Oversee the day-to-day operational activities performed by outsourced service providers, including Fund Administration, Middle Office, Transfer Agency, Custody and settlement functions.

Ensure timely escalation, investigation and resolution of operational issues, settlement fails, cash breaks, collateral issues and reconciliation exceptions.

Maintain oversight of the fund NAV production process, including review of NAV exceptions, pricing issues, reconciliation breaks and unexplained fund movements.
- Ensure operational issues impacting fund valuation are escalated to the appropriate stakeholders, including the Risk and Valuation Oversight functions where required.

Maintain strong working relationships with Fund Administrators and Depositaries to ensure timely resolution of NAV and operational issues.

Maintain oversight of critical outsourced service providers through due diligence, KPI/KRI monitoring, SLA/SLD reviews, and periodic service review meetings.

Support and maintain the Companys Outsourcing Framework, including outsourcing risk assessments, oversight documentation, service provider governance and Board reporting.

Manage relationships with Administrators, Depositaries, Custodians, Transfer Agents, Investment Managers, counterparties and other key service providers.

Oversee operational aspects of regulatory reporting obligations, including EMIR, SFTR and distributor reporting requirements such as EMT, EPT, and PRIIPs.

Coordinate operational activities relating to fund launches, ETF launches, share class launches, mergers, liquidations, dividend distributions and other fund lifecycle events.

Support ETF and capital markets operational activities, including Portfolio Composition File oversight where applicable.

Maintain and enhance operational risk, incident management and control frameworks, ensuring issues are appropriately tracked, escalated, and remediated.

Support operational resilience, business continuity, and third-party risk management activities across the Operations function.

Lead and support operational change initiatives, process improvements, automation projects, and data-driven operational reporting.

Prepare periodic reporting and management information for Senior Management, Committees and the Board of Directors.

Collaborate with and support the development of junior team members, promoting a strong governance, control and continuous improvement culture.
Key Requirements:

Third-level qualification in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics or a related discipline.

7+ years experience within Asset Management Operations, Fund Administration, Depositary, Custody, Middle Office or a UCITS Management Company environment.

Strong knowledge of UCITS funds, fund operations, outsourcing oversight and service provider governance.

Experience overseeing outsourced service providers, conducting due diligence reviews, and reviewing KPI/SLA performance.

Good understanding of fund accounting, NAV oversight, valuation controls, reconciliations, and operational risk frameworks.

Knowledge of regulatory reporting requirements, including EMIR, AIFMD IV and preferably SFTR; familiarity with PRIIPs, EMT and EPT reporting would be advantageous.

Experience supporting fund launches, ETF launches, share class launches or other product lifecycle events would be beneficial.

Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to challenge service providers constructively and manage issues to resolution.

Excellent analytical, problem-solving, organisational and time-management skills.

Strong written and verbal communication skills, including experience preparing management, committee or Board reporting.

Advanced Excel skills; experience with Power BI, workflow tools, automation or AI-enabled productivity tools would be advantageous.

Professional qualifications such as ACA, ACCA, CFA, CISI, FRM or equivalent would be desirable, together with evidence of continuous professional development.
