Position Description
This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in the coordination, planning and continuous improvement of all training activities across our outsourced Service, Sales & Credit Control Advisor teams as well as internal training requirements.
As Advisor Trainer, you will be the central point of contact for training governance, ensuring programmes are well planned, delivered, monitored and evaluated. You will proactively identify training needs through performance data, quality insights and stakeholder engagement, and develop practical, innovative learning solutions that build capability and improve operational performance.
You will work closely with operational leaders, quality teams and outsource partners to ensure training supports excellent customer service, strong sales performance and wider business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Coordinate training across Service, Sales, Credit Control and internal teams, maintaining a training calendar aligned to operational priorities.
Identify capability gaps through performance data, customer feedback, quality insights and stakeholder input, and recommend targeted learning solutions.
Design and implement effective learning interventions to address development needs and improve individual, team and organisational performance.
Develop and maintain training materials, learning pathways, knowledge resources and standards, while monitoring mandatory training compliance and records.
Evaluate training effectiveness using data, feedback and business outcomes, and report on completion, impact and emerging development needs.
Continuously improve training processes, delivery methods and learning experiences.
Experience and Qualifications
Essential
2-3 years’ experience in Training, Learning & Development, Operations or a related business area, with the ability to coordinate training programmes or learning initiatives across multiple stakeholder groups.
Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret performance data, identify trends and make practical, evidence-based recommendations.
Ability to identify training needs and deliver effective learning solutions that support improved performance and capability.
Clear and confident communication skills, with the ability to build positive relationships and engage effectively with a wide range of stakeholders.
Strong organisational and planning skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and maintain excellent attention to detail.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and PowerPoint, with confidence using data and presentations to support decision-making.
A proactive, customer-focused approach, with a commitment to continuous improvement and the ability to influence positive behavioural and performance change.
Desirable
A relevant third-level qualification or equivalent relevant work experience is desirable
Qualification in Learning & Development, Human Resources, Business, Education or a related discipline is desirable.
Previous experience in a contact centre or outsourced operations environment.
Experience evaluating training effectiveness and measuring learning outcomes.
Experience developing e-learning, blended learning or innovative digital learning solutions.
Location
This position will be based in Electric Ireland, Swift Square, Northwood, Santry, D09 X8P.
Smart Working at ESB is designed to make ‘in-person’ time together as purposeful as possible while also enabling the effective use of digital tools and hybrid arrangements to preserve our commitment to flexibility. The successful candidate may work flexibly within the jurisdiction where they have been employed, with attendance at the workplace for in-person collaboration at least two days per week . All Smart Working arrangements are subject to regular review based on the operational requirements of the role, the team, and the business.

Salary
€41,500 - €48,800 per annum (depending on experience)
