We are seeking a proactive and motivated Assistant Project Manager to join our growing project delivery team. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious construction professional to play a key role in the successful planning, coordination, and delivery of high-quality projects in a fast-paced environment. Working closely with Project Managers and site teams, you will support all phases of project execution, helping to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. The successful candidate will be passionate about driving excellence, building strong stakeholder relationships, and championing our commitment to Zero Harm, Zero Defects, and continuous improvement across every aspect of project delivery.
Responsibilities:
- Assigned to project from Gate 0

Takes over project from Site Manager for Civils and Site Set-Up directly after Module Installation.

Issues all site requisitions for materials in a timely fashion as per the requisition procedure.

Review and approval of all RAMs.

Coordinating subcontractor attendance to site and ensure works are completed in the correct sequence in accordance with the Target Schedule.

Schedule
o Monitor progress against both Contract and Internal Construction Programme and notify VB management of any delays or other concerns.
o Provision and input of data to facilitate the progressing of the Project Schedule each week. -
Setting to Work
o Completion of Site Inductions
o Site opening times 08:00 to 18:00
o Completion of Whiteboard with contractors, ensuring all works are coordinated, key risks with mitigating control measured identified, all deliveries coordinated. Monitoring progress.
o Review and approval of SPA at Whiteboard Meeting.
o Review and approval of all permits – Hot works, ladder, Roof Access, Excavation Permits
o Completion of plant arrival inspections, certificates, daily or weekly inspections, GA1s, GA2s,.
o Implementing the Vision Built Health and Safety, Quality and Environment policy and procedures at site level.
o Ensuring that all aspects of the Construction Management Plan is implemented.
o Ensuring that the site organisation is maintained to a high standard, as per the logistics plan.
o Ensuring that exclusion zones and key interface areas are managed at all times.
o Monitoring daily productivity on site including sub-contractor performance, resource levels and quality of works.

o Complete site diary
o Ensure completion of ITRs for completed elements of work by contractor and approve if completed.
o Communicate and ensure sign-off of Quality Induction
o Escorting Client and VB Consultants when completing Site Inspections Reports.
o Works together with Site Engineer in NCR, Snag and BCAR Snag closure. Review list, inspect remedial works, upload evidence and mark as completed on the Fieldview and/or other agreed applications. -

Experience:
- Strong People Management experience

Knowledge of good industrial relations practices

Ability to communicate with colleagues and clients in a warm and persuasive way both formally and informally and able to alter style and method to suit audience

Strong people skills and able to manage a variety of subcontractor supervision

Ability to prioritise and make prompt decisions in the interests of the project

Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of all the trades required on site, codes of practice relating to them and their specific requirements
