Position:

Reporting directly to the Safety Manager Airworthiness, this role focuses on investigating engineering-related safety occurrences and supporting continuous improvement within the ASLI Safety Management System. This role will deputies Safety Manager Airworthiness during periods of leave / absence.

Key Responsibilities

Conducting formal Engineering Investigations, including interviews with engineering personnel,
Preparing Investigation Reports and Safety Recommendations,
Assisting and overseeing Engineering Investigations conducted by trained investigators,
Identifying and analysing safety trends arising from reported safety occurrences,
Preparing periodic engineering safety reports and supporting the Safety Manager Airworthiness in hazard identification and risk assessments,
Participating in Safety Promotion, utilising lessons learnt from internal and industry investigations,
Assisting in administration of SafetyManager365 occurrence reporting and risk management modules,
Deputise Safety Manager Airworthiness during periods of absence,
Maintaining competence through continuous education and training in the area of responsibility. The company will facilitate this process.

Requirements:

Qualifications

A relevant degree in engineering/aviation discipline or EASA Part 66 license

Experience

Desirable 5 years’ aviation engineering experience in CAMO and/or P-145 environment
Strong analytical and problem solving skills, ability to identify safety trends and contributing factors
Ability to work independently and to deadlines
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to engage with engineering personnel at all levels
Comprehensive knowledge of Safety Management Systems (SMS)
Experience in safety occurrence investigations and risk assessments

Skills

Strong leadership and coordination skills
Excellent project management and organisation
High attention to detail
Strong communication and stakeholder management
Ability to manage multiple projects

Other information:

PMP certification or equivalent experience
Experience in lease transitions
Knowledge of fleet types
Experience with aviation authorities
