Job Summary:
The Food & Beverage Supervisor supports the daily operations of Westport Estate's food and beverage outlets, ensuring a seamless guest experience and the consistent delivery of service excellence. Working under the guidance of the Restaurant & Outlets Manager, this role is hands-on in leading service teams, maintaining operational standards, and upholding the property's commitment to refined hospitality.
Key Responsibilities
Guest Experience

Support the delivery of attentive, personalised service in accordance with brand standards.

Address guest requests and concerns promptly, escalating issues to management where appropriate.

Monitor the operations to ensure guest satisfaction and service consistency throughout operations.
Operational Excellence

Oversee dail set-up, allocations, and service readiness.

Coordinate with the kitchen and bar teams to maintain smooth service flow and communication.

Ensure dining and service areas uphold the highest standards of cleanliness, ambience, and presentation.

Support adherence to daily checklists, SOPs, and closing procedures.
Team Supervision & Support

Supervise and motivate staff.

Assist with pre-service briefings, communicating daily specials, menu changes, and key service priorities.
Inventory & Financial Awareness

Assist in monitoring stock levels of service items, linens, and consumables.

Report shortages or wastage to management to support cost-control measures.

Support cash handling, billing, and POS accuracy throughout service periods.
Menu & Beverage Knowledge

Maintain thorough understanding of menu items, ingredients, and beverage pairings.

Promote menu specials and recommend pairings to enhance the guest dining experience.

Support training initiatives to keep the team informed and confident in menu delivery.
Compliance & Safety

Ensure adherence to food hygiene, allergen awareness, and safety standards.

Maintain accurate documentation for daily operational and health & safety requirements.

Required Experience & Skills

1-2 years' experience in a supervisory or senior service role.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a people-first mindset.

Sound knowledge of food and beverage operations; wine knowledge an advantage.
