Intel's Foundry Automation (IFA) Infrastructure and Security (InfraSec) group is seeking a Sr. Software Engineering Manager, reporting to the GM of IFA Infrastructure and Security Group. As the Senior Software Engineering Manager for the Infrastructure and Security group, you will lead the teams responsible for the foundation of our global operations. You will oversee the development of highly scalable distributed systems, cloud-native infrastructure, and the robust security frameworks that protect our customers and data. This is a strategic leadership role requiring a blend of deep technical expertise in systems architecture and a proven track record of scaling high-performing engineering organizations.
In this role, you will engage with other Foundry leaders to represent InfraSec, negotiate terms, and align resources for current programs, as well as coordinate future initiatives. Additionally, you will collaborate with product teams to guide software engineering, analytics, infrastructure, and security efforts in alignment with program objectives.
The ideal candidate will be a dynamic leader with a proven track record of managing complex projects and delivering results that directly impact organizational goals and performance. The candidate should thrive in a fast-paced environment where adaptability and flexibility are essential to success.

Responsibilities:

Develop and guide the IFA InfraSec strategy and roadmap for manufacturing business functions
Establish proactive, strategic engagements with key partners and customers to define, align, and execute roadmaps.
Ensure that solutions and capabilities meet the needs of Intel factories and Intel Foundry customers without adversely impacting velocity.
Establish, develop, and foster strong stakeholder, customer, and partner relationships with a focus on roadmap alignment and flawless product/process insertions into manufacturing environments.
Lead through ambiguity and bring clarity through defined strategies and executable plans.
Role model exemplary technical and interpersonal standards within the group and with partners.

The Ideal Candidate Must Demonstrate:

Knowledge of systems and data architectures, network and data communications systems, and cybersecurity principles and technologies.
Strong understanding of software programming, concepts of Software Engineering or Systems Engineering, specifically software integration.
Experience in high-volume automated manufacturing in semiconductor fabs.
Track record of delivering major automation programs with broad scope, high levels of complexity, cross-functional team engagement, and challenging deliverables.
Ability to influence and shape outcomes with senior executive-level stakeholders.
Understanding of relevant security technology and industry trends.
Strong business and financial judgment; strong analytical skills.
Effective communication skills to articulate complex technical and business issues and solutions to varied audiences of technical experts and managers at multiple levels.

Required Skills and Experience:

Experience in factory automation/IT solutions or leading IT organizations.
Experience in SEMI standards utilized in factory automation.
Experience in high-volume automated manufacturing semiconductor fabs preferred.
Demonstrated ability to present complex technical and financial topics to senior managers, leaders, and government/industry stakeholders.
Effective leadership, communication skills, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence, educate, and coach others.
Experience translating technology roadmaps and strategy to operational improvement.
Proven track record of solving tough technical problems while creating and capturing business value.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in Computer Science or a related engineering discipline

5+ years of practical experience in factory automation or 10+ years of practical experience in developing Information Technology solutions.

We offer a total compensation package that ranks among the best in the industry.

Annual Salary Range for this job which could be performed in Ireland is: €130,100.00 - €203,200.00

The compensation range displayed in this posting reflects the minimum and maximum target compensation for this position. Within this range, individual pay is determined by job related skills, experience, and relevant education, training. As part of our total compensation approach, the final offer may include additional pay components and benefits. Your recruiting team will share the confirmed base salary along with any applicable total compensation elements upon employment offer delivery.

Work Model for this Role
