Overview:
You will be responsible for the end-to-end delivery of AI transformation programmes, defining, implementing and managing AI strategies that deliver measurable business value. You will own the successful implementation and adoption of AI initiatives across the organisation while coordinating multidisciplinary teams spanning business, technology, data, security, governance and external partners.
You will work closely with senior stakeholders to develop a deep understanding of business objectives and identify opportunities where Artificial Intelligence can drive innovation, efficiency and competitive advantage. You will ensure AI programmes are delivered in alignment with organisational standards, governance frameworks and regulatory requirements while fostering widespread adoption through advocacy, engagement and thought leadership.
This role combines programme leadership with strong technical understanding, requiring the ability to bridge the gap between business strategy and AI technology. Whilst not expected to develop AI models directly, you will possess practical hands-on experience with modern AI technologies, cloud platforms and data ecosystems, enabling effective engagement with technical teams and business stakeholders alike.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for programme management services within complex, strategic and business-critical AI transformation programmes.

Lead the end-to-end delivery of AI initiatives from opportunity identification and business case development through to implementation, adoption and benefits realisation.

Build and maintain strategic relationships with senior stakeholders, acting as a trusted advisor on AI opportunities, risks and implementation approaches.

Partner with business leaders to identify, prioritise and deliver AI use cases that align with organisational goals and strategic objectives.

Coordinate multidisciplinary teams including business SMEs, data engineers, data scientists, architects, technology leaders, governance teams and external vendors.

Drive AI adoption across the organisation through advocacy, communication and stakeholder engagement, winning hearts and minds and promoting a culture of innovation.

Establish programme governance structures that ensure AI initiatives align with organisational AI frameworks, regulatory requirements and responsible AI principles.

Monitor programme delivery, resources, budgets and benefits, ensuring successful outcomes against agreed objectives.

Facilitate scoping, business prioritisation and roadmap development for large-scale AI initiatives, securing stakeholder alignment and sponsorship.

Provide thought leadership on emerging AI technologies, market developments and industry trends, translating innovation into practical business outcomes.

Assess opportunities presented by Generative AI, Machine Learning and Intelligent Automation technologies, advising stakeholders on business applicability and value.

Set the direction and coordinate the introduction and adoption of AI tools, methodologies and delivery practices across the organisation.

Collaborate closely with technology teams to ensure scalable, secure and sustainable AI solution architectures.

Support vendor evaluation, platform selection and strategic technology decision-making related to AI capabilities.

Contribute to the continuous evolution of the organisation's AI strategy, operating model and implementation frameworks.

Assist with pre-sales activities, solution workshops and executive stakeholder engagements when required.

Mentor programme and project teams in AI delivery best practices and foster a culture of continuous learning and innovation.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems, Engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent industry experience.

Programme and/or Project Management certification (Prince2, PMP, MSP or equivalent).

AI, cloud or data platform certifications highly desirable.

Microsoft Azure certifications desirable.

Snowflake certifications highly advantageous.

Experience:
- Advanced programme management experience leading large-scale technology and transformation initiatives.

Proven experience delivering AI, data, analytics or digital transformation programmes within complex enterprise environments.

Strong practical understanding of modern AI technologies and their applications across business functions.

Experience working with cloud-based AI platforms, preferably Microsoft Azure.

Experience working with enterprise data platforms, with Snowflake experience highly desirable.

Exposure to Snowflake Cortex or similar Generative AI capabilities would be a significant advantage.

Experience collaborating with data science, engineering, architecture and governance teams to deliver AI solutions.

Demonstrated ability to engage with executive stakeholders and influence strategic decision-making.

Experience developing and executing AI adoption, change management and organisational engagement strategies.

Strong understanding of AI governance, responsible AI principles and regulatory frameworks, including the EU AI Act.

Evidence of driving innovation through the successful implementation of emerging technologies.

Strong awareness of AI industry trends, vendor ecosystems and market developments.

Experience evaluating AI opportunities, risks and business cases, translating these into actionable delivery plans.
