Job Summary
To position itself to meet the requirements of continuing rapid business growth and future market development, West Pharmaceutical Services have developed a transformation strategy of standardization, simplification and centralization of global Procurement Services. The Manager Procurement service program is responsible for leading the project management and procurement digital roadmap workstream, team and processes. In conjunction with relevant business partners, identifies, designs, and implements business solutions for Procurement. Manage project planning, business case development, and functional requirements. This position will also be involved in a variety of cross functional projects that have impact to the strategic sourcing, procurement & finance operations organization and require essential data analytics. This role will be reporting to Sr. Director Global Procurement Services.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Procurement Services Initiatives Management
Leading a variety of cross functional projects/initiatives that have impact to the procurement Services & finance operations organization.
Working closely with the procurement services leadership team, rregularly assess current areas to identify improvement.
Lead the planning and execution of procurement services projects and initiatives. Develop detailed project plans, timelines, ensuring alignment with overall procurement organizational goals.
Monitor project progress and performance using appropriate tools and techniques. Report on project status, issues, and risks to senior management.
Utilize data-driven analysis to pinpoint inefficiencies or bottlenecks in procurement workflows.
Technology Enablement
Develop and maintain a technology roadmap that supports the digital transformation of procurement processes. Identify and evaluate emerging technologies that can enhance procurement effectiveness.
Partnering with Procurement leadership team and in alignment with global objective, procurement transformation and digital road map
Lead the execution of the procurement Digital Road map working closely with the Procurement Services Integration lead
Lead the adoption of eProcurement solutions that streamline procurement activities and enhance transparency.
Change Management
In partnership with Procurement COE Support, lead Facilitation of the cross-functional Governance Forums, Change Management & Process continuous Improvement for procurement services
Education
3rd level qualification or equivalent
Certification in Project Management Preferred
Work Experience
Minimum 8 years of relevant experience
Experience leading and coaching direct report
Preferred Shared Service Centre experience with multinational publicly quoted company experience.
Experience in Procurement preferred
Additional Requirements
Robust project management skills and capabilities (Gantt charts, dashboards, key deliverables, business case and baseline development)
Exceptional analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
Ability to efficiently organize forums and coordinate communication with team members
Excellent communication skills for structuring ideas in a clear and concise manner
Strong ability to effectively communicate with and present to Senior Leadership
Strong proficiency in MS-Office tools (specifically, MS Project, Excel, PowerPoint)
Demonstrated ability to make recommendations on and deliver assigned projects
Can work independently, within a team, and collaboratively across teams
Openness for new initiatives, fast learner, proactive.
Proven track record of process improvement and efficiencies implementation.
Able to work independently, manage multiple priorities and deadlines in an ever-changing environment.
Experience in healthcare, life sciences, or other regulated industries.
Some familiarity with leading procurement platforms
Demonstrated success translating technology investments into measurable business outcomes (adoption, compliance, productivity, insight).Procurement experience is a plus
Able to be aware of all relevant SOPs as per Company policy as they are related to the position covered by this Job Description.
Able to always comply with the company’s safety and quality policies.
License and Certifications
Program and Project Management\Certified Project Management Professional preferred
Travel Requirements
30%: Up to 78 business days per year
Physical Requirements
Sedentary-Exerting up to 10lbs/4kgs of force occasionally, and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time.
Pay Transparency:
The annual base salary range for this position is €80,960.00 - €103,040.00. Total target compensation is determined using objective and gender-neutral criteria, including relevant experience, qualifications, skills, market benchmarks, geographic location, and the scope and responsibilities of the role.
This position may be eligible for variable compensation and other incentive programs in accordance with the terms of the applicable plans within the country of employment. In addition, team members are eligible to participate in the company’s benefits and total rewards programs applicable to their location and employment status.
