Full job description

Early Years Teaching Assistant required for Castle Park School

Castle Park School Dalkey have an opening in their Early Years department. The hours are from 8.30am until 3.30pm on Tuesdays and Fridays, and 8.30am - 1.30pm Monday, Wednesday and Thursdays with appropriate breaks built into the day. We also provide an After School service until 6.15pm during term time only.

The successful candidate will work as a teaching assistant in one of our Pre-School Early Years classrooms. There is also the possibility of working in the After School till 6.15pm for additional income.

To be successful in this position, applicants must:

· Enjoy working with school age children and have at least two years’ relevant experience

· Have a Childcare qualification (minimum requirement Fetac Level 5)

· Fluent English is essential and have good communication skills

· Hard working, reliable and ability to work on own initiative.

· Have the ability to multi-task and enjoy working as part of a team

Teaching Assistant Role includes:

· Assisting the classroom teacher to implement an Early Childhood curriculum, which will incorporate Aistear/EYFS.

· To help with the preparation and organisation of age appropriate activities
