We are seeking a Cleaning Operative to join our team in Ballycoolin. This role will work within a critical environment and responsible for ensuring that facilities and equipment are kept in a meticulously clean and hygienic condition. This role requires a combination of technical skills, attention to detail and physical stamina. To perform a variety of tasks in line with our operating procedures, including using high-pressure cleaning equipment and using specialised cleaning products. Requirement to maintain and clean communal areas, data halls, as well as server cabinet cleaning and respond to emergency cleaning situations as needed. Your efforts will contribute to the overall success and smooth operation of the data centre, promoting a positive image of the company through your professional conduct and attention to detail.
Core Duties & Responsibilities
· Perform cleaning operations in accordance with strict protocols, including dusting, sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and sanitising surfaces, to maintain a pristine data centre environment.
· Operating and maintaining cleaning equipment and tools, such as pressure washers, floor polishers and scrubbers.
· Ensure adherence to cleanroom protocols, meticulously cleaning and sanitising all areas to maintain a contaminant-free environment.
· Follow customer standard operating procedures to ensure consistency, quality, and compliance in all tasks.
· Efficiently manage and dispose of waste and recycling materials in accordance with environmental regulations and company policies.
· Ensure the safe use and storage of all cleaning equipment and materials to maintain a secure and hazard-free environment.
· Maintain records and promptly report any defects, breakages, or maintenance issues to the line manager to ensure timely resolution and maintain operational efficiency.
· Consistently ensure compliance with health and safety regulations to maintain a safe and healthy work environment, and adherence to Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
· Lock and secure the premises at the end of each shift, if required, to ensure the safety and security of the facility.
· Participate in continuous training on technical skills, safety protocols, and performance improvement to ensure high standards and continuous professional development.
· Work on their own initiative and ensure that their area of responsibility is to the cleaning standards set by the company.
· Collaborating with other team members and departments to ensure efficient and effective cleaning operations.
· Perform all tasks as requested by immediate supervisor/manager and as detailed in the job specification for each location.
· Represent the business, upholding our core values and behaviours with all internal and external customers, clients and third parties
· Maintain business and client confidentiality, adhering to applicable Data Protection regulations and Information Security Standards in line with company, and group policies and procedures.
Qualifications: Skills and Experience
· Previous experience in a cleaning role is desirable but not essential, as comprehensive training will be provided.
· Possess knowledge of cleaning chemicals, including their proper storage and disposal methods, to ensure safe and effective use.
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
· Strong communication skills and a proactive approach to work.

· Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
