At DEITG, we are looking for a motivated and customer-focused Field Service Engineer to join our growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer who enjoys a mixture of onsite customer support, project delivery, Microsoft 365 administration, and technical problem-solving.
As an Field Service Engineer, you will be trusted to manage more complex technical issues, improve customer environments, contribute to service improvement initiatives, and support the wider service desk team.

Your Role
As a Field Service Engineer, you will provide onsite and remote technical support to DEITG customers.
Responsibilities include:
- Deliver onsite IT support and technical services to customer locations.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex servers, desktop, network and Microsoft 365 issues.
- Deploy, configure and support Windows devices, laptops, printers and mobile technology.
- Implement and support Microsoft 365, Entra ID, SharePoint, Teams and Intune solutions.
- Install, configure and maintain network infrastructure including firewalls, wireless and VPN connectivity.
- Participate in customer onboarding, migrations and infrastructure projects.
- Document technical solutions and maintain accurate customer records.
- Identify recurring issues and recommend long-term improvements.
- Support and share knowledge with junior engineers.
- Maintain excellent customer communication and service standards.
- Contribute to continual service improvement and operational excellence initiatives.
What We're Looking For
Essential
- Minimum 2 years' IT support or field engineering experience.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Experience supporting Microsoft 365 environments.
- Experience with Windows 10 and Windows 11 administration.
- Experience with networking fundamentals, VPNs, wireless networking and firewalls.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
- Full clean Irish driving licence.
- Own transport.
Desirable Certification
MD-102 Endpoint Administration, MS-102 Microsoft 365 Administration, MS-900 Microsoft 365 Fundamentals, SC-900 Security, Compliance & Identity Fundamentals, AZ-900 Microsoft Azure Fundamentals. Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices.
